True Grit Abrasives, Inc. was founded in 1978 by Thomas and Barbara Lizotte. Our manufacturing plant is located in historic New Bedford, MA.

Our standard grinding products include a complete line of Resinoid Type 11 cup wheels including Armor Cups as well as Rubber Resin which works extremely well on stainless steel, Type 1 wheels up through 14", and a complete line of Plugs and Cones Type 16, 17, 18 and 18R. We also have a specialty line for aluminum, titanium, and exotic metals.

Our newest product line of Type 6 cup wheels in 2.5", 4" and 5" has been designed for the Granite & Marble Industries. Our customers can expect a rapid response when special needs arise. Before starting True Grit Abrasives, Inc. Tom Lizotte worked at Bay State Abrasives. His expertise was put to work doing research and development—working in all phases of manufacturing grinding wheels. Tom's knowledge, skill and ethics are a benchmark in the industry.
